Purchasing Information

Basic Purchasing Policy

Based on our Basic Purchasing Policy, we will conduct purchasing while valuing the partnerships we have with our business partners.

1)Compliance with laws, regulations, and social norms

In our purchasing, we will ensure compliance with laws and regulations and pay due attention to the handling of confidential information.
We also give consideration to the sustainable development of society, including environmental conservation and protection of resources.

2)Fair and equal transactions

We provide all business partners with opportunities for fair and equal competition, regardless of their nationality, size, or track record.
In addition, we make comprehensive decisions when selecting business partners, taking into consideration quality, delivery control, prices, technical capabilities, proposal capabilities, and financial soundness.

3)Coexistence and co-prosperity with business partners

As equal partners with our business partners, we strive to build relationships of trust based on clear communication and mutual enhancement of corporate value.

Major Initiatives

Supplier Conferences

Each year, we hold a Supplier Conference at the beginning of the fiscal year, with our major suppliers participating.
At this conference, we explain to our suppliers our basic purchasing policies and initiatives for the year.
After the conference, we gather opinions and feedback from the suppliers and encourage communication.

Implementation of QCDE Commendation

We have established a QCDE commendation system for our suppliers, whereby we select and present awards to suppliers who have achieved particular excellence in quality (Q), cost (C), delivery time (D), and environmental initiatives (E) throughout the year.

Strengthening BCP

In the event of a natural disaster that interferes with procurement, we strive to build a system that enables us to quickly obtain information on the status of damage and the extent of impact on suppliers and take necessary countermeasures. We are currently in the process of ascertaining the locations of secondary and tertiary suppliers' bases. We will further cooperation with suppliers as we think primary of the prompt resumption of operations in the event of a disaster.

Participation in the Declaration of Partnership Building

We are participating in the Declaration of Partnership Building led by the government, Keidanren, and other organizations. This is a mechanism that aims to promote co-existence and co-prosperity with our suppliers and build partnerships with them. By participating, we aim to further promote prosperity throughout our supply chain.
