History of TDF Corporation (1918–2019)
1918
- April
- As a pioneer of die forging in the private sector in Japan, is established the Tokyo Tankosho, an unlimited partnership, in Osaki-machi, Ebara-gun, Tokyo and began the production of tools.
1928
- August
- The Osaki plant is completed in Ebara-gun, Tokyo (now part of Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo).
1938
- October
- The Kawasaki plant is completed in Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa.
1949
- May
- TDF Corporation is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1966
- February
- The Osaki plant is consolidated into the Kawasaki plant, and the headquarters were relocated to Yotsuyashitamachi, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa.
1969
- August
- Tokai Tanzo Kogyo Co., Ltd. is established in Seki-shi, Gifu.
1975
- November
- The Miyagi plant is completed in Murata-machi, Shibata-gun, Miyagi, and operations were fully relocated from the Kawasaki Plant.
1977
- July
- The headquarters are relocated to 3 Omorikita, Ota-ku, Tokyo.
1978
- December
- Zao Seisakusho Ltd. is established in Zao-machi, Katta-gun, Miyagi.
1989
- February
- Zao Seisakusho Ltd.(, a limited company,) changes its trade name to Tohoku Seiko Co., Ltd.
1990
- April
- The company name is changed to TDF Corporation.
1991
- April
- Tokai Tanzo Kogyo Co., Ltd. changes its name to Tokai Corporation.
1996
- September
- The headquarters are relocated to 6 Minamioi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
2001
- August
- The headquarters are relocated to 3 Minamioi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
2002
- August
- The head office is relocated to Murata-machi, Shibata-gun, Miyagi.
2008
- July
- Tohoku Seiko Co., Ltd. is absorbed through a merger.
2013
- March
- PT. TJForge Indonesia is established as a joint venture in Indonesia.
- A basic agreement on business integration is signed with I Metal Technology Co., Ltd. and Jidosha Buhin Kogyo Co., Ltd.
- May
- A business integration agreement is signed with I Metal Technology Co., Ltd. and Jidosha Buhin Kogyo Co., Ltd., and a share transfer plan is jointly prepared.
- October
- IJT Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. is established as a joint holding company through a share transfer by I Metal Technology Co., Ltd., Jidosha Buhin Kogyo Co., Ltd., and TDF Corporation. IJT Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. is listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
